But I need to get better. I need to be firm with them. I'm a bit of a pushover these days. Just lots going on. Things have been a bit harder the last couple weeks.
Alright, moving on! I'm sure this whole me posting my sentences is not nearly as interesting for all of you as it is for me. But it's been a great way for me to motivate myself. I look forward to finding a few sentences to share after I'm done with my writing time. So, without further ado, here's the lucky winners of today's writing:
Holt’s words had changed Velvet. Her shoulders slumped, her lips turned down and her eyes were dull and vacant. Jasper wanted to save her.
But he stayed hidden in the shadows.
Random Question of the Day: What is your children's summer bedtime schedule like? Got any tips for me? I'm pretty sure the solution is a nanny. Or shock collars.
Or maybe just sticking to a routine.
Yeah...because, like I'd use shock collars on my own kids. As if. Now....some of the neighbor's kids....that's a different story all together...
SUMMER BEDTIME IS THE WORST!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUgh!
We do 9:00, but the kids are always asking why there are other kids still playing outside and why it's still light out... ;)
During the fall, it's 7:30... hands down! LOL.
Bedtime routine? I start telling my teens to go to bed when the clock hits 9:30. They want one more drink of water, and want to check for one more e-mail, want to have a little private chat, want to just finish this one last thing. . . They got into their rooms, and I was free around 10:30 last night.
ReplyDeleteAm I trying to be encouraging here?
Well, no. I was just telling you I feel the same as you. Love having them around. Can't wait until they just go to bed. I do WAY too much chatting at bedtime, but I still love it.
John Deere has some useful persuaders :) Jokin, I'm just jokin!
ReplyDeleteI took some time off from blogging (actually, mostly from keeping up reading blogs) because I felt the strain of trying to do too much.
ReplyDeleteYours is one I missed the most. I've gone back and read all the posts I missed, even though I swore I'd only read the most current one so as not to get sucked into a blog hole. Alas, your blog sucked me in!
I've so missed your wittiness and candor! And I hope you are out of the summer craziness and back to a routine (but chaos is fun every once in a while, am I right?).
