B is for Beautiful Disappointment

The quote I'm sharing today comes from Clint Johnson. He spoke at the Writing for Charity event a few weeks ago. 

This guy is pretty darn awesome and he had loads of quotable things to say. Every time he opened his mouth I  had to hurry to jot down his words...

Nothing we write will ever measure up to what we want it to be, right? It always falls short of the grand and glorious thing we've envisioned.

But even though it has flaws it is a beautiful thing because of what we did right with it, all that we learned through writing it and simply because we accomplished it.

It's up to us to choose which one to focus on.
