A New Stage

Hello.

I am a Blogoholic.

Yep. Years ago I started my first blog Here at Livejournal....like maybe 7 years ago.  I knew a lot of writers doing it.  It seemed cool and hip and fun.   So.  I did it.  I jumped on the Bliggity Blog Bandwagon and signed up. All was well and good.  I was a One Blog Woman.  No sign of addiction yet.

I blogged here and there.  Sometimes I wrote about writing, sometimes about my family and sometimes about random bits of nothing.  I really enjoyed Livejournal.  I've made so many dear friends there. But I began to worry that I needed to keep that blog strictly for my writing.  Professional, right?

So, I started my Second Blog Here.  This was to be my Family Blog. But I wasn't so good at keeping it up.

Earlier this summer my addiction became worse when my sweet friend, Sundi said, "Hey want to do a crafty blog with me?"

I didn't even stop to think about it.  "Sure!" I said in a chipper voice which made me think I really did have time for everything! You'll find this fun blog Here.

Well.  A group blog is great and good.  BUT (here is where I should have seen the warning signs.) what about a crafty blog all my own?  I could chronicle all the fun mommy things, crafts, games and activities we do!  I could post sewing tutorials.  Oh!  What joy! It will be The Best!

Yep.  Another one Here

The first step is recognizing you have a problem, right?  Ahhhhhhhh! I have a problem!!!

So, I'm fixing it.  I am only one person.  I will only have one blog.  Sometimes I will post about writing.  Sometimes about my family.  Sometimes about crafts.  And, yes, sometimes about random bits of nothing.

Of course, in order to cure myself of my addiction, I've just created A New Blog. Is this a cure or is the addiction only getting worse?!

Ah well, either way, welcome to my new stage.  I hope you enjoy the show.

  1. Hello darling,

I can't believe that when I'm finally on LJ you've switched to blogger. Sigh. Someday I'll be on blogger too and we can chronicle our adventures in the publishing world together.

  2. It is really ironic that you created a new blog to stop your blogging addiction. I think it'll be fun to have a variety of stuff to read about you. I would guess most people who know you love reading about anything you do. If they don't, then they're dorks. ;)

  3. LOL, Les! But, hey, it's okay. At least we got you blogging, right? And we can still Chronicle our Adventures on the High Seas of this crazy publishing world together. I'll get your bliggity blog popped into my little blog reader on the side and then, Voila! I'll keep tabs on you. :)

Mellissa...you rock. Thanks for the smile. And, I'm not certain, but I think the vast majority of the world population might be made up of dorks, based on your post.
